Welcome to the Directory of Visually Impaired Services

The Directory is a resource guide that will enhance the lives of the blind and visually impaired. It has been published to create awareness of the hundreds of organizations, services and activities that are available to those with visual impairments. The fourth issue has almost 800 listings, which are divided into 26 categories. The Directory was created for Michigan residents, but includes hundreds of resources that will benefit people across the United States and around the world.
In fact, the Directory has reached into 48 states and 13 countries.
One of the many benefits of the Directory is that there is something in it for everyone. For example, our youngest request came from a mom who has a two month old blind child, while the oldest request came from a 101 year old. Obviously, two completely different situations, and yet, both found the Directory extremely useful.
Over the past fifteen years, we have received hundreds of letters and calls telling us that the Directory has made a positive impact in their lives. Many have said that the Directory has helped make life easier, more enjoyable, and sometimes just a lot more fun.
